How to read TikTok creator stats before commissioning a video

Use views, engagement, audience, and work samples to choose a creator for your music.

Do not pick on one number

A large audience does not make every post equally successful. Look across recent work, the spread of views, the character of comments, and how a creator holds attention. One viral post can distort your sense of a typical result.

Compare the audience with your music

Check audience geography and language against the people you want to reach. What do viewers expect from this creator: dance, stories, reviews, or lip sync? A relevant audience can matter more than an impressive follower count in isolation.

Know the limits

Statistics can inform your choice but cannot guarantee future views. Metrics change and may have different update periods. Use numbers with real examples of work and the agreed price, then compare those expectations with the published video’s actual results.

Check current terms and available features on the specific offer or campaign page.
