How to write a brief for a TikTok video using your song
Tell creators what matters about the sound, format, requirements, and creative freedom.
State the goal simply
Explain the mood and the section of the track that viewers should remember. Add the sound link and a little context about the song. If you share references, say whether they demonstrate pacing, delivery, or a transition; do not ask someone to copy another creator’s video.
Separate requirements from ideas
Requirements should be checkable: which sound to use, whether a specific segment is needed, how many videos are expected, and when they should go live. Leave room for the creator to propose the story, framing, and edit unless those details are essential.
Every added restriction reduces the creator’s freedom. Ask whether each one is necessary and make sure it is agreed before the offer is accepted.
Confirm the scope
Use the offer discussion to confirm format, deadline, price, and delivery. After publication, keep the link to each video so both sides can verify the result and discuss any necessary changes.
Check current terms and available features on the specific offer or campaign page.
